We created the two hero creatures, the Great Protector dragon and Dweller-in-Darkness, as well as an army of soul-sucking demons. Our creatures are built with complete muscular and skeletal structures. Dweller-in-Darkness also has a vascular system specifically designed to glow when it absorbs a victim’s soul.

It includes Ta Lo village, the Mountain of Souls, and the lake that divides the two. The water in Ta Lo lake is composed of layers of simulations—the most dramatic being the stylised water tornados caused by the grappling creatures. As the ten rings move between Shang-Chi and his father Wenwu, they adapt and change to reflect the user’s cWe were responsible for the design of these unique effects during their battle of the Mountain of Souls. Our artists used Nuke and Eddy to enhance the glow of the rings and other magical weapons.
