Kong

At the heart of the story is the title character Kong— a 25 foot mountain gorilla who is captured and displayed in 1930’s New York with tragic results. Kong is a entirely digital character who delivers a very complex performance without the aide of dialogue. Weta Digital created him with a blend of performance capture technology and keyframe animation. He has around four million hairs on his body rendered using new simulation and modelling software.
